Minimizing risk by the expertise required exactly when needed



Venture capitalists speak of "inflection points" when they are describing the especially critical points of financial growth for new ventures they are funding. Similarly, there are inflection points in the growth of a new venture's technology, products, marketing, or distribution. Creating a "richochet" effect


Another way to present GTM's value proposition is to think in terms of the possibility of creating a richochet effect, as it were --- bouncing ideas, plans, and strategies off industry specialists with some hope of gaining feedback and constructive criticism that is both knowledgeable and independent. This can be very difficult to obtain otherwise, perhaps, because those who are especially knowledgeable of a company's circumstances and market are often lacking in objectivity. And although the ricochet effect is common in companies, it may often result in negative rather than positive value creation.

However, if this ricochet value is positive and it is amplified over the course of the relationship, it can have a compound effect similar to the compounding of interest in a bank account.
