GTM has been a high technology marketing consultancy from the beginning. It has sought out challenging consulting projects in a number of markets where its expertise could enable impressive results. However, in order to gain sufficient expertise to provide "high value-added consulting experience", GTM has created several areas of focus where it has been especially active --- and successful. And always, we value our clients at the highest - they are our favorites indeed!

Favorite areas of focus, clients and consulting projects:

Network Security
GTM has enjoyed a focus in the network security market since 1998. The market is growing and prospering due to innovations improved price/performance in software and hardware solutions, and the demands imposed by spammers and hackers who are severely limiting the usefulness of the Internet. GTM has been privileged to collaborate with some of the most talented technologists in the U.S. and Europe to create radical, new ways to deliver industry leading levels of security to computers and communicators, worldwide.
  • Effnet Public Swedish technology and product company founded in middle '90s and brought public in 1998. Effnet's distinctive innovations include IP header compression techniques in use worldwide by leading mobile phone providers and the Effnet ROC (Router-On-a-Card), winner of the 1999 European IST Prize and conceived and developed entirely in the Effnet, Inc., U.S. subsidiary, created and managed by GTM
  • Rockstorm Swedish technology firm with products designed for the multi-location and multi-national enterprise. Its MAG and DutyBox innovations allow the delivery of high levels of firewall security at a very minimal initial product cost and "rock-botton" support and network management costs.
  • Suprasphere A U.S. company that offers a highly secure messaging solution for enterprises that rely on security in their communciations. These include leading financial sector firms and legal firms.
Voice over IP
GTM has been an innovator and a marketing and business development leader in the fast-growing VoIP telephony market since it entered that market in 1996. Through both agent representation, GTM has helped entrepreneurial ventures reach critically needed inital customers and markets. By performing leading-edge innovation, and by creating competent R&D and development teams, GTM has been able to lead the market in addressing the seachange opportunities made possible by the application of OTS hardware and software technologies and the virtues of broadband networks thus solving old fashioned telephony problems in innovative, new ways.
  • Inter-Tel Incorporated A public firm, was introduced by GTM to major European telcos very early in the VoIP development cycle enabling them to rapidly create high quality VoIP service offerings.
  • Toledo Communications, Inc.) Later, after seeing the limitations of early VoIP technologies and products, GTM "moved the bar", joining with other creative technologists and participating in the founding and then management of Toledo Communications, a technology company that currently holds one of the broadest U.S. patents ever granted in the VoIP technology area (for TDMoIP or TDM - time division multiplexing - over IP).
Parallel & Distributed Computing
After managing product marketing, technology marketing and business development for Encore Computer in the late '80s (early innovator in parallel and distributed computing, major DARPA contractor, and inventor of "reflective memory" other parallel OS and tool technologies), GTM's founder has continued to work with firms delivering high performance and scalable computing solutions including:
  • SofTech, Inc. A long term industry leading compiler developer that created one of the first successful parallel and distributed development environments
  • Dolphin Interconnect Solutions AB One of few companies to successfully bring to market very high performance I/O adapters enabling network and cluster supercomputing. Dolphin, an Oslo company, sells adapters and middleware into embedded markets (defense, medical, government) and into supercomputing markets worldwide. Dolphin's products support the IEEE standard SCI (Scalable Coherent Interface) and can support cache coherency when needed, a unique feature for building scalable clusters and grid computing environments.

Other project areas of interest for GTM over the years have included telecom infrastructure, artificial intelligence, financial market intelligence, bioinformatics, wireless location-based solutions, value-added IP-based services for FAX, and XML-based graphic middleware for hand-held devices. And in addition to all of this, GTM has executed business development and strategic alliance strategies for hand-held data terminal manufacturers, producers of several different types of high speed networking equipment, and many telecom infrastructure suppliers.
